Creating Rules for Amazon PPC Keyword Suggestions + Keyword Harvesting
Creating Rules for Keyword Suggestions + Keyword Harvesting
ACTION: Create Positive and Negative Keyword Rules When you connect your account to Prestozon you will need to create keyword rules in order to see keyword suggestions. Custom Rules help you continually generate new keywords and negative keyword suggestions. Don’t worry, creating a rule doesn’t make any changes, it generates suggestions you can review unless you decide to automate the rule. If you turn on automation for the keyword rules you will no longer see suggestions as those changes will happen automatically.
HOW TO: Go to Campaign Manager --> click the ? in the “Rules” column for the campaign where you want to create the rules and select either the + or - button (for positive or negative rules). From there it’s 5 quick steps:
Step 1 - Name Your Rule, for example “Magicians Hat Keyword Promotion Rule"
Step 2 - Add Additional Ad Groups, select the ad groups you want to source keywords from
Step 3 - Look for Search Terms in these Ad Groups, if there is a ☑️ we’ll look to harvest search terms from across those ad groups
Step 4 - Create New Keywords Here, select the appropriate keyword circles to create Broad, Phrase or Exact keywords. For Prestozon’s standard keyword promotion rule you would select Broad in your Research Group and Exact in your Performance Group.
Step 5- Create Negative Keywords Here, select the appropriate keyword circles to create Negative Phrase or Negative Exact keywords. For Prestozon’s standard keyword promotion rule you would select Negative Phrase in your Auto Group and Negative Exact in your Research Group.

TIP: You can create advanced keyword rule configurations by using thresholds (but lets get comfortable with the basic rules first and let us know how we can help at Support). Here's how you can tell your positive and negative keywords apart for Broad, Phrase and Exact match types:
Positive = the blue B, P, E keyword circles are always positive keywords
Negative = the red P, E keyword circles are always negative keywords
